Mustek has won the 2010 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for South Africa.
The company was chosen out of an international field of top Microsoft partners as delivering market-leading customer solutions built on Microsoft technology.
“We are extremely proud to be first-time winners of this newly-introduced award," says Hein Engelbrecht, MD of Mustek, which assembles and distributes Mecer PC products. “This marks the culmination of Mustek’s ongoing efforts, in alignment with Microsoft, to develop and implement effective customer solutions.”
Over the past 12 months these Mecer initiatives included Windows 7 and Multipoint Server launches, an Office Attach order-system prompt adopted at an international level, the sponsorship of Microsoft Tech Ed, Partner Summit and Boot Camps, and the implementation of the Portable Mobile Solar Solution for rural communities.
Awards are presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of almost 3 000 entrants worldwide. Mustek was recognised for superior technology, innovation and engagement for the Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award.
“We are pleased to recognise Mustek of South Africa as Microsoft’s Country Partner of the Year,” says Allison Watson, corporate vice-president: Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft. “Mustek has demonstrated the highest level of excellence and innovation, by combining local market expertise with superior solutions and services that fulfill our customers’ needs.”
