Bytes Document Solutions’ NOR Paper division has rebranded its 10-year-old Xerox Black Box packaging for its A4/A3 laser, copier, and inkjet paper product, and now carries the Xerox Business+ branding.
The rebranding is due to NOR Paper’s unwavering commitment to the environment and greener, more sustainable business practices.
“There have been many changes at Bytes Document Solutions, including the incorporation of the NOR merchanting business, and a year ago we created a new image and corporate look and feel, along with a new logo,” says Ronnie Oeschger, MD of NOR Paper.
The NOR Paper Xerox Business+ product range is manufactured by partner Mondi, which has made great strides towards being an eco-friendly manufacturer. Mondi produces its paper in an environmentally responsible manner, including using sustainable forests, reducing water usage, recycling paper, and restoring and maintaining wetlands in KwaZulu-Natal.
“While our Xerox branded packaging may have changed, everything else remains the same: quality, on time delivery, and commitment to customer focus and service,” says Oeschger.
The striking new packaging clearly depicts NOR Paper’s commitment to sustainability with a natural scene, a "committed to sustainability" label and green leaf logo, a Hi-End Environmental logo describing the 80gsm paper stock, and Forest Stewardship Council logo.
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests, in response to concerns around global deforestation.
Mondi is a member of the FSC. It has also, among other initiatives, been promoting awareness of wetlands since 1991, in conjunction with three partners: the Wildlife and Environmental Society of South Africa, Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) South Africa, and Mazda Wildlife Fund Project.
“Sustainability isn’t a cost of doing business; it’s a way of doing business that benefits shareholders, customers, employees and the world,” says Oeschger.
“Green is not a corporate function housed in a separate unit devoted to social responsibility; green solutions and sustainable strategies are smart business — for everyone. The greener we become, the more we can reduce costs and boost efficiency. The more we reduce costs, the more productive a business can become and the better we can weather the global business market.”
