Xerox launch seven new black-and-white printers

Seven new black-and-white multifunction printers (MFPs) from Xerox handle everything from general office documents to high-volume print jobs, with several features that help keep business information secure.

Xerox is updating its line of black-and-white MFPs, and adding a bit of colour, with the WorkCentre 5700 series.
“The WorkCentre 5700 Series is equipped with advanced security features,” says Warren Lock, product manager of the Office Systems Group at Bytes Document Services, authorised Xerox distributor to 27 sub-Saharan countries.
“They include full support for the IPv6 network security standard, Image Overwrite to electronically ‘shred’ data, fax isolation to prevent unauthorised access to data and network authentication to restrict access to scan, e-mail and network fax features.”
Several of the products in the range have also won international awards.
BERTL, the independent product analyst firm, has awarded the WorkCentre 5790 an outstanding Certified Four and a Half Star rating.
In addition, Better Buys for Business, the US-based independent buyer’s guide, has awarded the WorkCentres 5755, 5765, 5775, and 5790, Innovative Product of the Year 2010.
With print speeds up to 90ppm, the MFPs can:
*Print, copy, scan or fax without interruption for quick turnarounds.
*Scan documents in colour.
*Move to the next job if the first job in queue is held up due to a lack of resources with the Print Around feature.
“With a robust standard configuration and a variety of optional features, the new Xerox WorkCentre 5700 Series helps companies of all sizes increase productivity, reduce costs, and secure critical business information,” says Lock.
“Xerox is again meeting the real challenges faced by businesses today.”
The WorkCentre 5700 Series is built on Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform (EIP), a technology that can be used to create customised workflow applications. All of the devices are ENERGY STAR qualified.
The WorkCentre 5700 Series is now available in South Africa, through Bytes Document Solutions, its resellers, dealers and concessionaires.
