A fire that razed  the third floor of Imperial Online’s Johanneburg operations yesterday did not damage its data centre, and customers’ data has not been affected.

This is the word from a spokesman in the marketing department of Imperial Online, responding to industry rumours that the fire had devastated the company’s data centre where customer data and applications are hosted.
While the cause of the blaze is not yet known, an investigation is underway and customers will be kept up to date as the situation develops.
