ABI opts for SaaS project management solution with PPO

Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI), the soft drink division of The South African Breweries (SAB), has selected Post Vision Technology’s Project Portfolio Office (PPO) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) project management solution, in order to effectively support its project management and administration processes.

ABI is the leading soft drink business in the SABMiller group, and remains one of the largest producers and distributors of Coca-Cola brands in the southern hemisphere.
Neeraj Ganesh, product portfolio specialist at ABI, explains that the organisation elected to go the PPO route because of its intuitive, user friendly and simple design and flexible, useful reporting options.
“Not only does PPO complement our existing processes, but as a SaaS offering, it gives us access to a secure site and has allowed us to contain costs through an affordable monthly subscription fee. PPO is also easily customisable to ABI’s specific requirements, and provides access to support and training.”
PPO will be used by ABI’s entire project community, including project managers, administrators and sponsors, and is being rolled out by PPO partner, PM.Ideas.
“SaaS will play a massive part in future computing by providing organisations with cost-effective access to specifically required services, assisting them to improve efficiency and reduce expenses,” says Guy Jelley, CEO of Post Vision Technology.
“SaaS eliminates the internal dependency on infrastructure, hardware, backup, DR and maintenance, enabling CIOs and IT managers to play a more strategic role. We are pleased that an organisation of ABI’s stature has recognised these benefits and gone the SaaS route.”
