Altech Technology Concepts (ATC), which provides communications services and solutions to businesses of all sizes in sub-Saharan Africa, has transformed its broadband products for business into a month-to-month offering.
This decision follows on from ATC’s recent launch of its own robust network and is a move away from traditional business broadband Internet service offerings in southern Africa.
“We have had a hugely positive response from customers coming onto out new network with access to benefits of guaranteed performance and reliability,” says Wayne de Nobrega, CEO at Altech Technology Concepts. “Now we want to ensure that our customers also have freedom of choice. When it comes to using our broadband services, they should do so because they want to, and not because they are locked into a seemingly interminable contract.”
De Nobrega notes that far too many South African customers purchase services with which they are unhappy, but are then unable to get out of the contract they have signed.
“ATC is putting its money where its mouth is,” he adds. “We believe in our product and are therefore making all our broadband access contracts monthly, with customers having to provide no more than a calendar month’s notice should they be unhappy with our service,” says de Nobrega.
ATC’s top end business broadband product – its Uncapped Business Platinum Service, which costs R1 900.00 per month – will also be available on a monthly basis, and will continue to be supplied with the use of a free router.
Promising quick turnaround time on orders, De Nobrega says that the move to month-to-month contracts is in line with ATC’s business philosophy. “If you provide a quality service on top of a reliable and resilient network, your customers will remain loyal to you without needing to be bound by onerous contracts.”
