Lenovo has been ranked by IDC as the number one company in “Notebook Sales to the combined category comprising Large Business, Very Large Business, Government and Education Customers" for the fourth quarter of 2010.

Lenovo achieved 21% worldwide market share and a 35% year-on-year (YoY) growth in these combined segments, overtaking Hewlett-Packard and Dell with 18.4% and 18% respectively.
Lenovo’s Emerging Markets Group recorded a strong performance – growing faster than the industry at 52% against the worldwide growth of 28%t – to capture number one spot with 38.4% market share. Several regions within EMG delivered significant results, notably India with a record 132% YoY shipment growth, followed by RUCIS with a strong 76%, and ASEAN capping it off with 43%.
