Acer South Africa has announced the local availability of the Veriton M6610G, a new commercial desktop designed for business users that need the processing muscle to handle heavy multitasking and demanding applications.

The new desktop features Proshield management and security software, and is based on the second generation Intel Core i Processor.
In addition to a powerful Core i Processor, the Veriton boasts up to 16Gb of DDR3 1066/1333 MHz SDRAM, allowing it to easily crunch through processor and memory intensive applications.
With up to 2Tb of serial ATA hard drive space, there is plenty of room to store data. The Intel Core i integrated graphics solution, featuring support for Intel HD Graphics support, Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology (Intel DVMT) and Microsoft DirectX 10, renders high-definition graphics and video beautifully.
"The Veriton M6610G has been engineered to be reliable and easy to manage, while offering the performance today's businesses need. With its tool-less, modular design, this desktop is easy to support and upgrade when necessary," says Pranash Sewparsad, product manager at Acer South Africa.
The Veriton M6610G is one of the first Acer commercial products to feature Acer Proshield, enterprise-class software that secures users' valuable data. It also complies with ENERGY STAR 5.0.
Proshield features an encrypted hidden drive for confidential personal files, a file shredder to wipe sensitive data from the system, and a BIOS import and export tool that simplifies system management.
The Veriton M6610 Series also supports Intel vPro for seamless remote system management. It also comes preloaded with Acer's unique Veriton Control Centre Suite, featuring a range of utilities to simplify configuration and management of the machine.
These tools include Acer eLock Management, Acer eSettings Management, QuickMigration, PowerSaver, SmartBoot, the HelpDesk and the Acer PowerSaver program, which can save the user up to 24% on a system's power consumption.
