Virgin Mobile SA is launching a pre-paid product that it believes will offer consumers value and rewards.
The company has conducted research into what consumers really want from a pre-paid product and now offers customers an immediate reward of R10.00 free airtime every time R30.00 of airtime is used – effectively giving loyal subscribers a third off normal airtime charges.
As called for in the research, there are none of the hidden catches or terms and conditions and customers can use all of their Virgin Mobile Prepaid airtime for anything (voice calls, SMSs, MMSs or data), anytime (on- or off-peak) and to any other users regardless of their network.
In addition, there is no time limit by when active subscribers have to reach their R30.00 reward threshold –when their usage reaches R30.00, they are automatically be credited with their R10.00 free airtime.
In addition, pre-paid customer enjoy true per-second billing, an on-net rate of 99c and competitive rates of R2.60 peak and R1.30 off-peak.
Steve Bailey, CEO of Virgin Mobile, says all current pre-paid customers will automatically be migrated to the new product. “Virgin Mobile is now benefiting from reduced interconnect rates, and we are happy to be able to pass this onto our valued Prepaid customers through this unprecedented value reward offering.”
