As business moves increasingly into the online environment, Hewlett-Packard, the world’s largest technology company, has launched HP Online Print Services, an innovative design and print service in South Africa. It can be accessed online and is available to any business, regardless of where it is situated, as long as it has Internet access.
According to HP Print Station program manager, Boitumelo Tumi Dolamo, South Africa has been chosen to pilot HP Online Print Service offering globally.
“This initiative is a benchmark in the application of online and print technology in the business environment, and the choice of South Africa to launch the service is a mark of recognition of our country as a developing economy with great potential.”
Accessed by registering and logging into the Web site, HP Online Print Services has essentially been developed to assist business in accessing efficient, quality design and print services online on one portal.
The user-friendly concept enables any online user either to brief in a design or print job or to upload print-ready files, to choose a print option from a range of formats and paper choices and to submit the order.
The job is completed and couriered to any selected address in South Africa.
HP Online Print Services also offers a range of professional templates, suited to various industry sectors, including professional services, retail and hospitality. The user can customise the templates with branding and content to produce professional and stylish collateral at the click of a button.
The modern business world is centred around the online environment, but print is still an essential part of communications and marketing. In an age of connectivity and global travel, users can take their office anywhere, but accessing design and printing can be costly, complicated and inconvenient.
“HP Print Stations are a one-stop shop for bringing your ideas to life, so your brand can be seen and your message heard. We've put marketing and design expertise, resources, and superb printing and imaging technology online, available to you at the click of a mouse,” says Dolamo
Small businesses also stand to benefit enormously from services such as HP Print Station Online, which offers a far more cost-effective, and accessible design and print solution that is quality guaranteed.
“Getting a print job done should be as easy as ordering flowers online, and now it is,” concludes Dolamo.
The global print market value is predicted to grow from $665-billion in 2009 to $676-billion in 2014, with the digital print share growing by 55%, according to the Printing Industry Research Association report "The Future of Global Printing, 2009".
HP Online Print Service products include: business cards, brochures, letterheads, menus, postcards, posters, newsletters and a range of kiddies’ activities. HP Online Print Services matches the individual customer’s specific print requirements with the range of printers it has available, including high-end HP Indigo digital press printers.
This ensures the best cost and quality according to each specific job requirement, as well as the convenience of doing everything online.
