HP has announced the appointment of Clive Brindley as software channel manager for HP South Africa, effective from 1 August 2011.
Brindley joined HP in 2007 and previously served as a solution architect and pre-sales manager in the business technology optimisation (BTO) business unit within HP Software.
He takes over his new role from Norbert Gachet, who will be leaving HP at the end of July 2011 to pursue other opportunities.
“In line with HP’s strategy to create new opportunities for staff, Clive has been selected to take over the responsibility of the software channel business in South Africa. His excellent track record with customers and partners, his passion for technology and the direct effect it has on people’s lives makes him a perfect fit for this role,” says Praveen Govender, country manager of HP Software South Africa.
“I am very excited to be appointed the new channel manager for HP Software South Africa” says Brindley. “I have been working closely with the partner community for the past four years and for me this is a natural evolution from my current role, albeit now in a more official capacity. HP is fully committed to our partners as they are undoubtedly a core part of our DNA. Together we will continue to bring innovative, market leading solutions to our customers now and in the future,” he adds.
