Although many services have been restored, there are still some lingering problems relating to yesterday’s server crash that brought BlackBerry smartphone services to a halt in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The e-mail service is apparently now working, but other services are still down, following a server crash in a Research in Motion (RiM) data in the UK yesterday morning.
BlackBerry users have also been left largely in the dark by RiM, which has not released much information about the problem or when users can expect it to be resolved.
The last tweet on RiM’s BlackBerry Twitter feed was posted 16 hours ago and reads: “We apologise to any of our customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa still experiencing issues. We’ll bring you an update as soon as we can.”
