Bachelor’s Degree preferred, plus minimum 5 years professional experience including minimum of
2 years in an Project Management role
Agriculture experience would be advantageous
Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Certification or studying as a project management professional (PMP) and/or Prince II is a
preference .
As IT Project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects
you are working on. Work closely with upper management and project teams to make sure that the
scope and direction of each project is on schedule & within budget, as well as other departments
for support. You might work alone or manage a project team. Timeous reporting on project
progress essential. You will also chair project management board meetings and give feedback to
project sponsors

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring
technical feasibility. Ensure resource availability and allocation and develop a detailed project plan
to track progress. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope,
schedule and costs. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and
techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Manage the relationship with the
client and all stakeholders. Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Developing budgets, coaching, supervision, staffing, project management, management
proficiency, process improvement, tracking budget expenses, self-development, planning,
performance management, verbal and written communication skills
Leadership skills, you will have to keep your project team motivated, resolve conflicts and make
hard decisions
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and
analysis
