Private Hospital based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town requires a Registered Nurse to fill the role of Infection Prevention and Control Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- To ensure that clinical risks related to infection prevention are controlled and identified, managed and controlled.
- Take full responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of a functional infection and prevention control programme.
- To provide support to the hospital regarding safety matters in the absence of Patient Safety Manager.
- Identify training needs and assist with the facilitation of training related to infection prevention and control.
- To ensure adherence to the relevant statutory bodies.
Key requirements:
- Registration with SANC as a registered nurse.
- At least 5 years experience in the healthcare industry.
- A formal qualification in IPC or experience in infection prevention and control required/ recommended.
- Proven experience and competence in the implementation of an Infection Prevention and Control programm and systems of healthcare analysis and associated infections and adverse events.
- Willingness to occassionally work after hours.
