The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a competent and suitably qualified Lecturer for the presentation of practical and theoretical classes/courses to students and other role players in agriculture. This post is stationed in Elsenburg, Stellenbosch.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare lesson plans and present practical, theoretical and/or short courses; Renewal and development of course material and study guides; Assessment of students through compilation of question papers and memorandums for examination; Administrative responsibility; Facilitate change and transformation.
Competencies
Proven knowledge of the subject field; Communication (written and verbal) skills; Leadership, planning and organising skills; Presentation skills.
Remuneration
R 316 791 per annum (Salary level 8)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
