Job Advert Summary
Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to assist with the technical editing and formatting of various Provincial Treasury publications and Information Management through database co-ordination and integration (PG and LG). The successful incumbent must have excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements
1-2 year post-Matric qualification in Information Management, Information Technology or a relevant field with; A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in advanced/ complex level typing/ technical editing/ formatting of various publication and electronic databases.
Recommendation
A valid driving license; Experience in the following: Technical editing and formatting of financial documents or other Publications; Electronic filing and coping with extreme deadlines or relevant experience in office administration and rendering support to senior management; Willingness to work irregular hours; Grade 12 Computer Application Technology as a passed subject, end user computing/ office management or secretarial/ Office administration Diploma/ certificate
Duties and Responsibilities
Consolidate and technically edit/format the Provincial Budget publications and associated documentation; Liaise with departmental finance and planning staff on the management of budget information; Consolidate and technically edit/format other PT publications; Consolidate and technically edit/format municipal budget information and performance assessment reports, PT municipal publications and working papers; Information Management through PT Data Warehouse co-ordination and integration (Provincial and Local Government) and specialised functions.

Remuneration
R 257 508 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
