POSITION

  • We are currently seeking a talented and professional Human Resource and Office Manager to assist in managing all human resource procedures. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting, and evolving employees through our company’s guidelines and managing processes. The HR-Office Manager is a dual-role involving full spectrum human resources and office management responsibilities of Transnova. The critical responsibilities of this role are described below. They may be subject to reasonable changes from time to time in line with business need. Proposed Start date is January 2020
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementation of all human resource policies and procedures- Administrative duties, including maintaining HR database information (processing of new hires, terminations, role changes, etc.)- Processing employees’ requests and providing relevant information- Taking a central role in several employee engagement initiatives i.e. employee events, surveys- Assisting in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, such as absences, leaves, etc.- Preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders- Assisting with B-BBEE skills development initiatives and programs such as apprenticeships, learnerships and internships- Compiling performance reviews from business- Assisting in recruitment efforts and consolidating recruitment plan- Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office – Facilitating office adherence to regulatory health and safety protocols – Arranging internal office moves, both head office and client sites

  • Minimum Requirements
  • Tertiary Degree
  • Professional qualification in HR will be considered a plus
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues-
  • Composure and confidentiality required to employee related information –
  • Commitment to staying current on the understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures-
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office –
  • Self-motivated and self-driven and willing to take responsibility and implement decisions

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making
  • Strength of character, ethics, and commitment, and reliability
  • Self starter with ability to work independently and think on their feet
  • Looking to work in a small to medium size company in entrepreneurial and fast moving environment
  • Willing to get “hands dirty” with all hands on deck mindset
