Purpose of Function
To assist generate orders for the geographical area assigned through the management of customers and resources offering a CLIENT complete portfolio/solutions/services.
Job Requirements
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Medical is preferred
- Certificate or Diploma from Tertiary institution would be preferred.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a Sales Environment / minimum 1 year experience in sales
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in the Medical field. / 1 year preferable in medical field
Job Responsibilities
- Active development of customer relationships
- Develops long-term partnership with the customer defined by the CLIENT rules in a defined geographic area
- Focus on sales of CLIENT portfolio (CLIENT and non-CLIENT products) and solutions (excluding after sales business)
- Maximize the sales development along with the sales rep through a business plan and implement sales strategies that enable your allocated area(s) to achieve its objective together with the application specialist and modality manager.
- Develops together with the customer and Medical Sales Rep the ideal solution portfolio for customer needs
- Main interface regarding devices / solutions, utilizing all necessary CLIENT resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the allocated area(s) maximum sales potential is realized
- Responsibility for sales budget (net revenue, margin), prepares sales forecast for his area
- Generates and manages the sales process
- Participates on road shows and exhibitions
- Monitors market, competitor and customer development – informs modality managers about market trends
- Assists in receivables management
- Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position

We have a fabulous opportunity with a Pharmaceutical Multinational – for a Medical Sales Representative (Workplace Experience Programme). They have 10 positions nationally (Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town)
The client is looking for Bachelor of Science (BSc) or related degree graduates, with ideally 1 or 2 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical / Consumer Health sales (not essential), to take on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract from January to December 2021.
