This is a new role within this this exceptonally busy and highly regarded strategy team. The Strategy manager will play a key role in helping to develop and implement a proactive business strategy and will be responsible for leading and managing strategic and/or operational projects across the business. Additionally, you will support the team in delivering research, industry reports and business intelligence reports.
You’ll need a keen understanding of corporate strategy, financial analysis, M&A and project management together with an astute understanding of the retail sector and the macro-economic environment.
Strong written and presentation skills and the ablity to present concepts, strategies and ideas in a clear and compelling format are essential as is the ability to advise and interact with confidence at C-suite level. A strong background (min 5-8 yrs) in management consulting, corporate finance /investment/ broking, equity research (retail/FMCG) or corporate strategy will stand you in good stead for this role. You’ll need to be a polished communicator with strong decision-making ability and an appetite for taking ownership of a wide variety of strategic projects.
A note on location: The location of this role is flexible, WITHIN SOUTH AFRICA. If not based in Cape Town, the post-holder must be prepared to travel at times and must be comfortable working remotely – a high level of self-discipline, strong organisational skills and the ability to work indpendently, yet aligned with the core team is critical.
