Key Role:
The Commercial Project Manager will report directly to the Head of the Property Business Unit (BU). The successful candidate will Need to develop extensive knowledge of the organizations, key stakeholders/personnel (both external and internal) and understand the organization’s systems and processes to support the effective and timeous conversion and execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial support to enhance project profitability and margins
- Assist engineers with contract negotiations, especially the commercial aspects thereof
- Review project contracts, sub-consultant contracts, intercompany agreements, etc.
- Prepare and manage multi-disciplinary project proposals, quotations and bid documents including methodologies, pricing and commercial terms (admin support to assemble the bid is available)
- Project manage the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects within the Business Unit from an internal perspective
- Project planning – Management of time & cost on multi-disciplinary projects
- Management of quality and risk of multi-disciplinary projects
- Develop and manage financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis for multi-disciplinary projects
- Support the BU Head and HoD’s with resource planning (forward workload)
- Responsible for productivity reporting on projects
- Conduct project audits within the BU
- Coordinate resolution of management actions and tasks within the BU
- Diligently and pro-actively following up on delegated matters, deadlines, target dates, etc.
- Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
- Support Property Marketing and Business Development Management Team, which would include attendance at business related networking functions, client functions. Presentations on capabilities to clients
- Align business processes across departments (i.e. electrical, mechanical, etc.)
- Standardizing templates used within the different business units and ensure uniformity
- Screening correspondence, which may include emails, and handling them when appropriate, including the delegation to other staff members
- Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
Qualifications
- Qualification in Project Management from a reputable educational institution, combined with strong resource planning, project planning and commercial experience
- Must be a professionally registered Project Manager
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Property sector with a strong understanding of the engineering consulting industry
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills/Training
- Knowledge of BIM360
