Functions / responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation of company strategy, policies and procedures
  • Ensure the achievement of store targets and budgets through proactive management
  • Maintenance of operational standards
    o Implement action plans to address all negative variances to maximize profitability
  • Implement and maintain all required operational standards (merchandising, ticketing, housekeeping, stock availability, service levels, pricing, promotional planning & execution, staff dress code, safety, customer service levels)
  • Ensure that aged stock is managed and monitored
  • Market awareness (analysis of competitor trends etc.)
  • Customer service excellence
  • Promotional Implementation
    o Create promotional excitement in-store
    o Identify items for promotion
  • Supervision of staff
  • Ensure staff awareness of Safety and Security on the sales floor
  • Implement performance management and IR processes in store using the IM process
  • Maintain a professional image at all times

Desired Skills:

  • Grade 12 (minimum) –
  • Retail Management qualification would be an advantage –
  • Minimum 3-5 years management experience at a middle management level in a retail environment –
  • SAP + BI experience advantageous

Desired Work Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years Middle / Department Management

Desired Qualification Level:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
