Field Services Engineer in Middleburg in the mining industry. The role reports to the Branch Manager.
The role:

  • Responsible for Service Centre budgets
  • Improve the field services to meet Group standards
  • Actively seek and bring in new business to the field services
  • Maintain quality and standards within the field
  • Promote and market maintenance plans (Repair & Return, Service exchange and Service Contracts)
  • Offer new products and value adding solutions to contracts
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers
  • Optimize and set up programs to improve equipment effectiveness
  • Manage the field services staff
  • Spares forecasting
  • Effective usage of CRM system
  • Adhere to and ensure relevant SOP’s and work instructions are adhered to

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma (Mechanical / Process Engineering)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • 5 – 8 years related experience in a mining / manufacturing environment
  • Mining experience will be advantageous
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical journals
