Job Advert Summary
A Basic ambulance assistant certificate is essential. Certificate in Health and Safety.Aviation Fire Fighting and Rescue and / or Fire fighter I and IIRegistration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as BLS. A code 8 PDP drivers license essential. 6 month to 1 years operational BLS experience with verifiable rescue experience as a firefighter. Knowledge and experience of the EMS and Rescue environment. Hazmat awareness. Working knowledge and application of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice. Working knowledge and experience of Patient Report Forms.Upholds high ethical and professional standards.Follows instructions and adheres to procedures.Works accurately and thoroughly by attending to detail.Responds constructively to pressure and perseveres through challenges.Collaborates with and supports colleagues in order to achieve shared goals.Strives to identify and deliver on clients’ needs and a continuously focus on the client experience.
Key Outputs
Ensures operational readiness for emergency calls. Provides health and safety services as required. Administers health and safety policies as per Mine Health and Safety act, Osha act. Completes patient and incident reports timeously, completely and accurately and ensures patient confidentiality. Attends and conducts training and participates in monthly base meetings. Keeps physically and mentally fit to perform duties. Administers patient care in line with scope of practice. Provides professional emergency services to site based clients and general public and local community. Provides basic shift administration services.
