Role/Responsibilities:
Finding software defects, created during the developing phase of the software.
Output/Core Tasks:
The scope of this role includes but is not limited to:
- Test and prove that RPA software meets business and architecture requirements
- Testing all aspects of the system like function, component, system, performance, regression and service.
- Work with Business Analysts, Development teams and Business to identify and capture test scenarios, test cases, ensure version management
- Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
- Detect bug issues, log defects and ensure the fixes resolution.
- Prepare file defect reports and report test progress
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- A degree or diploma with an IT component will be advantageous
Knowledge & Experience:
Knowledge:
- Agile methodology
- Computer Literacy including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Products.
- Understanding of system architectures such as Client / Server, Services Orientated Architecture, Web based architecture. Thin client, etc.
- Knows of, and understand all forms of testing and best practices.
- Understand the various SDLC’s (System Development Life Cycle).
- Has a good working knowledge of all forms of testing, configuration management, and requirements management.
- Good level of knowledge in SQL/database is preferred.
- Business knowledge of the company products is preferred.
- Knowledge of the company transactions is preferred (Sentrix &Epsilon).
Experience:
- Experience in financial services is required.
- Experience with the company assurance products is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in testing within a solutions design division will be a strong recommendation.
- Experience of working in an agile, fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Testing experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) software is preferred (Automation Anywhere).
- Experience on defect management tools like Confluence and Jira is required
- Experience in testing the delivery of financial solutions is required.
