The Role: Responsibilities:
- Improve and grow the revenue for the business by formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business
- Increase profitability of existing business
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with new and existing customers, vendors and suppliers
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations
- Compile budget and business plan in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and ensure execution against the business plan and budget
- Ensure accurate reporting and financial reviews in line with the set standards, to ensure achievement of the business targets including monthly reporting to the Cluster Executive
- Lead and manage the team to ensure effective and timeous delivery across the Business Unit
- Grow the business in line with the business strategy and growth targets to ensure that the business remains profitable and that P&L targets are met/over-achieved
- Drive the people strategy and provide human resources support and consultation in a range of areas, including performance management, employee relations, employee development, and risk development
- Ensure the teams have performance contracts and development plans that are reviewed and achieved annually
- Management of direct line reports
- Drive Group initiatives within the Business Unit
- Proven Track record in Sales and continuous Business Development initiatives
- Lead strategic initiatives and key bids across the business
- Analyse technology trends and develop required strategy
- Oversee all related quality and safety issues on customer work sites
- Ensure delivery is met on all customer sites
- Aid the Project Engineering team to deliver on project objectives and targets
Skills and Experience: Qualifications:
- Relevant BSc. Engineering Degree
- Honours /Masters Degree in Engineering
- A post graduate Business Management qualification will be an advantage
- Professional registration with an accredited body ?? ECSA (Preferred)
- Eng /Pr. Tech Eng. (Advantageous)
- MBA or Management Qualification is an advantage
Experience:
- 7-10 years extensive experience in revenue generation, operations and engineering management
- At least 8 years?? experience in a leadership and management position
