Our client, a leading name in manufacturing seeks a dynamic Quality Controller to join their team. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure accurate and timeous quality checks are conducted to ensure the stock that leaves the factory is in exceptional condition.
Job Description:
Set up full QC process / build structure at:
- Factory
- ABU’s
- Head Quarters
- Align with customer QC process
- Set-up QC Lab
- Management of QC labs (Loskop & Pinetown)
- Build QC reporting structure
- Manage QC team
- Compliance/Audit working with Purchasing, Planning and Brand Managers.
Quality Control:
- Responsible for assuring that the quality of the finished product is consistent with specifications utilizing the for each product and D/Notes
- Check products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, missing pieces, or crooked seams
- Reject and return unacceptable materials.
- Record in “A” book received work
- Conduct quality assurance on production line
- Document inspection results by completing reports and summarizing re-work based on checks
- Discuss inspection results with Supervisor
- Follow quality control processes and procedures for evaluating products.
Compliance:
- Adhere to and comply with corporate standards and procedures in handling inventory.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies
- Comply with legislation and regulations
- Comply with health and safety policy.
- Comply with the use of safety equipment as per safety procedures
- Adhere to emergency evacuation plan and assembly points
Qualifications:
Q.C qualification or related
Experience
5 – 10 years in a senior role
