An Engineering Risk and Insurance company based in the East, is seeking a Commercial Marketer. This role requires an individual with sound understanding of product development, as well as an entrepreneurial and marketing personality. 5 Years Broker Consulting/marketing experience with a proven track record.

Duties:

  • Marketing of Short-term Insurance products (Commercial)
  • Develop relationships with brokers and internal departments to increase our existing client base.
  • Maintaining marketing standards and providing quality client / broker service
  • Source a sustainable stream of potential business from brokers.
  • Proven track record is requirement
  • Developing and maintaining broker relationships.
  • Visit brokers to introduce the company and develop market presence and build relationships with a view to obtaining new business.
  • Prepare and attend meetings when necessary.
  • Dealing with queries.
  • Respond to queries and resolve them satisfactorily within scope of authority.
  • Ability to Liaise with internal departments and building relationships with internal departments to ensure superior service is offered to clients.
  • Keeping up to date with internal processes and procedures as well as product development.
  • Feedback on market intelligence including trends in respect of cover and rates.
  • Participating in proactive and vibrant sales and marketing initiatives – a GO GETTER.
  • Profitable growth of market share.
  • Meet budget responsibility.
  • Understand the product & underwriting needs of intermediaries and clients.

Requirements:

  • Must be fully FAIS compliant. (A tertiary degree would be advantageous) – Non Negotiable
  • Proven track record in maintaining and building new relationships with intermediaries and industry bodies in short term insurance.
  • Product knowledge and knowledge of wordings.
  • Technical proficient.
  • Knowledge of Commercial wordings.
  • Able to sell and have a drive for results.
  • Able to analyse and assess risks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Client focused and very service orientated.
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation skills including initiative.
  • Team player with integrity
  • Conceptual thinking
  • Emotional self-control
  • Code 8 Drivers licence and own car.
  • Computer Literate
  • Must have gained experience from a UMA or Insurer
  • Technical understanding of Commercial Insurance products
