Operations & Production Manager in the mining industry, to oversee the production process related to Metallurgical and Chemical Gold Refining at a manufacturing plant. Based in Tanzania.
The role:
- Oversea Precious Metal Production
- Recovery and Refining of Precious Metal
- Plan and organize the production process
- Manufacturing of Precious Metal Components
Decide on necessary resources required, draft timescales for the job and estimate necessary costs - Responsibility of manpower planning for the above projections
- Responsible for maintenance of equipment including for process improvement and new manufacturing projects
- Monitor product standard and implement quality control programs
- Ensure highest level of health and safety guidelines are followed throughout the organization
- Supervise and motivate a team of employees, review employee performance and identify training needs
- Continuously strive for process improvement and increase in productivity, hence reducing the overall cost
- Liaising with various Government officials such as Factory inspector and Labour inspector
Qualification :
- Engineering degree
- Background in Metallurgical /Chemical Engineering Refining
- Worked in a Precious Metal & Refining unit for minimum 2-4 years
