Supporting new product development through the preparation of samples for internal use and for customer evaluation
- SCOPE OF JOB:
Sample preparation & dispatch
Accurate weighing, blending and packing of trial batches of new and existing products for internal assessment and to be sent to customers
Re-packing of existing “collection” items into sample packs for customer sampling
Labelling samples for dispatch, ensuring timeous dispatch and capturing tracking information
Preparation and management of QC, collection library and shelf-life samples
Preparation and dispatch of samples for shelf-life extension
Supporting the accurate capture of information related to lab administration
Laboratory stock level management
Ensuring availability of raw materials and packaging for sample preparation
Ensuring raw materials for use are within shelf-life
Ordering stock from suppliers/factory and capturing traceability information in the laboratory log sheet (date, batch no., expiration date)
Housekeeping
General daily housekeeping duties in the laboratory. Ensuring a clean, safe and functional workplace
Report equipment faults for corrective action

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- Senior Certificate with Maths, Science and English preferable
- Good English reading & writing
- Experience in a labatory environment
