They masterplan the physical scheme, create a concept design, prepare full working drawings and provide the principal agent service. The Company is looking for a Head of Design to run and manager the entire design team and be involved in all aspects of the projects.
Candidates Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years working as a Senior Conceptual Interior Designer with hospitality experience
Experience designing safari lodges and eco-lodges, boutique hotels
Experience managing a design team
Excellent conceptual design skills
Ability to do design development
Truly contextual skills
In touch with latest design trends
The Successful Candidates will be responsible for:
Managing the entire Interior Design Department
Leading the design process
Compiling ID packages
Presenting projects and guiding a support team to ensure outcomes meet the design excellence requirements
The Head of Design will also be responsible for the initial conceptual design and design development
Allocate design work to the team members and oversee the design work
Resourcing requirements, planning and project delivery
Procurement, cost control and overall responsibility for profit and loss
Mentor, supervise and manage Senior and Junior Designers to deliver quality design and detailing
Business development, marketing and representation
Liaise with Directors/Board with regards to management and performance
Liaising with the Architects and the Architectural division
Working closely the project management team from concept to completion
Client liaison
Site meeting and measurements
Work across all phases from inception to completion
