Our client based in East London is looking for a Maintenance Artisan.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting and coordinating all maintenance on machinery and equipment in the department
Completing maintenance schedules and programs for each machine as per supplier recommendation
Building an inventory of spares for the machines
Properly maintaining maintenance records as per ISO 9001 Quality System
Controlling machine spares as per required standards
Housekeeping for workshop and maintenance
Attending to mechanical breakdowns
Ordering of necessary equipment and tools for the factory when necessary
Assist production in achieving optimum efficiencies
Advising on and implementing technical improvements where appropriate and cost effective
Actively ensuring that all machines are serviced, cared for and maintained appropriately
Be available for call outs/after hours
Ensuring that the machines are running for night shifts
Desired Experience & Qualification
Candidate MUST be based in East London
Possession of a N3 qualification (minimum) or higher would be advantageous
Qualified Electrician or Millwright (trade tested)
Have proven maintenance experience
Have at least 2 -5 years’ experience in a production and or FMCG environment
Experience in Pneumatics, Hydraulics and PLC fault finding and repairs
An ability to interact with employees at different levels
