- Support the Project Delivery Director by delivering the committed portfolio of IT projects per the agreed quality measures,
- Support the Programme and Project Managers with project administration, issue resolution, project release management and other support requirements to ensure project objectives are met,
- Support Programme Managers in ensuring key SuccessFactors for scope, time and cost are assessed and mitigating actions taken,
- Conduct and communicate project gate reviews,
- Lead, develop and manage the Quality Assurance Analysts, creating a culture of high performance, continuous optimisation and cost effectiveness and manage team performance,
- Manage Project Change Management in conjunction with the Change Advisory Board
- Define standards, templates and procedures for project, program and portfolio management,
- Coach, train and familiarise business stakeholders to appreciate the value of project and program management,
- Promote adoption and build commitment to best practice processes, tools and methods to ensure consistency in project delivery,
- Advise on development, production and maintenance of project scope documents and plans,
- Management of project interdependencies to ensure projects meet their objectives,
- Report project and program performance as per management information requirements
- Publish project release and environment calendar,
- Support Portfolio Management Director with end-to-end portfolio reporting
- Liaise with Business Engagement Director to ensure understanding of the project pipeline and resource requirements,
- Build and promote a knowledge base of lessons learned from previous projects,
- Implement processes, tools and techniques for the identification, assessment and management of risks,
- Create and maintain effective systems and governance for project delivery, including project release management,
- Onboarding of new resources operating in the Project Delivery environment
- Administrative support for Project Delivery interviews
- Project Delivery Owner and Champion for the Project Office Tool (Project Online)
QUALIFICATIONS , SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent planning and organisation capabilities – help to remove barriers to success by providing resources, best practice and methodology,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – promote PMO to be value adding.
- Project management qualifications – PMBOK / Prince 2 or equivalent
- Attention to detail – Quality strategic reporting is essential,
- 6-8+ years of project management office experience
- 3-4 years of project management experience
- Significant experience of working collaboratively in matrix environments,
- Experience in services operations and release change management processes will be an advantage,
