Our Client, a leading manufacturer within the chemicals industry seeks to appoint a dynamic, presentable, and experienced sales representative to join their team based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, have good time management, strategic prospecting skills, demo skills, presentation skills and closing techniques.

Key Duties

  • Build relationships with customers based on trust and respect.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal structures of the business to facilitate customer needs fulfilment.
  • Act as the primary source of contact with customers.
  • Introduce and successfully sell new products.
  • Analyse sales reports and identify sales and margin opportunities.
  • Maintaining merchandizing standards and visual brand appeal
  • Follow all company processes and uniform standards.
  • Activate promotions in line with company layouts, planning processes and associated activities.
  • Develop and activate creative merchandizing and branding tactics that are in line with the company sales process.
  • Constantly maintaining market knowledge by conducting market and competitor research. Using this knowledge to increase sales and margin volumes.

Desired Skills:

  • Min 5 years of external sales experience is essential and must have knowledge of the wholesale industry. –
  • Matric with proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably HACCP knowledge. –
  • Good knowledge and understanding of industry trends and marketing synergies. –
  • Must live in Johannesburg and have a reliable vehicle. –
  • Must be able to maintain post sales relationships with customers.
