Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Degree (Honours, Masters or PHD) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and / or a combination of these
- Relevant data science certifications such as: Python, Microsoft, AWS, Hadoop, big data, machine learning, cloud infrastructure
- At least 5 years of hands-on work experience in data science related projects with practical experience applying Machine Learning techniques
- Experience in working with Python, statistical and machine learning libraries and the SciPy stack (Scikit-learn, numpy , matplotlib, etc)
- Technical statistical knowledge for implementing ML and predictive models
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data science pipelines and tools
- Experience with SQL and working with large-scale data sets
- Experience in training and coaching co-workers
- Experience in operationalising data science solutions or similar solution development
- Experience in a high-scale production environment is crucial
