Our leading client is looking to employ an International Procurement candidate to their progressive PE based team.
The successful candidate must have Matric, drivers and own transport with a minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing, dealing with suppliers/customers. Candidates must be familiar with Excel (Formulas), Word, Imports/Shipping Advantageous
The successful candidate must be figure orientated, methodical, accurate and be able to cost/estimate/be confident in asking questions/following up on queries as well be a strong communicator, be proactive, confident
Duties include :
- Imports/Clearing -Checking documents/following up on outstanding information on shipments
- Checking invoicing – charges/approving rates for shipments, warehousing – following up on outstanding docs/shipment packing lists
- Ensuring Bill of Entry captured, legible
- Pro-forma invoices, new suppliers
- Stock costing & input of stock, produce estimates – new & existing
- Advising of expected time of arrival/departure updates from suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers/reps etc. assisting them where possible
- Preparing new orders / foreign & local, capturing purchase orders on Pastel
- Updating reports / shipping advices and new orders
- Following up on Shipping & outstanding orders
- Twice a month forecasting and preparing forecasts for the following month
- Collecting forecasting information, recording sales & orders
- Month end reporting on slow moving stock, stock returns
- Updating price lists
- Doing corrective action requests
- Handling claims for damaged products received
