A leading global Commercial Insurer has a vacancy for a seasoned professional individual contributor in Business Analysis (Non IT) who works independently with minimal supervision.

This position helps the business implement solutions by detailing business requirements; as well as documenting functional and operational specification.

In addition this role supports medium scale projects with moderate complexity and coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Translates business strategies and objectives into business requirements.
  • Develops functional and operational requirements using requirements management methodology and tools.
  • Assists junior staff to test and analyse final requirements.
  • Ensures requirements are communicated effectively to parties responsible for technical development and implementation.
  • Manage data and reporting requests.
  • Develops and delivers training and supplemental materials.
  • Writes the business specifications detailing operations of an application or specific function.
  • Define and implement best practices with internal and external vendors, including continuous review.
  • Assist with data analysis to drive process improvements
  • Be the link between the firm’s information technology capabilities and its business objectives.
  • Planning, development, and implementation of both technology-based and process-based business solutions with the primary objective of helping businesses implement solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
  • Developing technical and business solutions to business problems, begins with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements.
  • Provides assistance to define and develop business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Intermediary between client and technical teams. (This team is distinct from IT Business Analysis team).

Requirements:

  • University Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis
  • This is a 1 year contract which can extend to 5 years, project dependant.
