QUALIFICATIONS & Requirements
- Min grade 12 or n3 / equivalent.
- Qualified artisan – trade test pass (diesel fitter).
- At least 2 years post apprenticeship experiencein servicing, repairing and overhauling of DIESEL engines.
- Valid drivers licence (coe 08). / equivalent
- Valid passport.
- Ability to qualify for the mines “red ticket”
Responsibilities- Carrying out on site field service to customers requirements.- Completing service reports.- Carrying out site inspections on engines and filling in reports with the aim of promoting spare parts sales- Travelling to customers to carry out engine repair assessment.- Fault diagnosing and repair of diesel engines.- Assisting customers with technical information including engine installations.- Liasing with customers and resolving problems.- Adhering to deutz technical and quality standards.- Assisting with product support.

- Knowledge of personal computer operation.
- Ability to demonstrate the skills and knowledge of his/her trade
- Ability to acquire competence in deutz product knowledge.
- Well-developed diagnostic and problem solving skills.
- Well-developed communication skills – english /afrikaans language – (verbal and written).
- Well-developed report writing skills.
- Well-developed decision making skills.
- Well-developed planning and organising skills.
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and judgement
