Our client in the Automotive sector is requiring a Logistics Manager to join their team in the Rosslyn Plant. The main purpose of this position is to organise the plants Logistical activities and workforce. Train, motivate, coach and lead employees. Duties will include but not be limited to:- Ensure optimum Logistical performance to ensure the highest customer satisfaction Compile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operations Report the status of the Logistics Department to the Directorate Compile the Financial and Capex budgets for Logistics Manage and monitor expenses against these budgets. Minimum Requirements:- Knowledge and understanding of Production processes, Supply Chain functions and MRPII Knowledge of customer specific requirements in the Automotive industry Sound knowledge to use Excel spreadsheets Knowledge of Purchasing processes Matric + 3-year Degree in Supply Chain Management / Purchasing / Business Administration Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain / Logistics environment Minimum 3 years’ experience with MPS / MRP (preferably Navision) Minimum 3 years exposure to a Purchasing environment Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.
