We are growing fast and are in need of an exceptional candidate to manage our Driver Recruitment, Driver Training, Driver Culture, Onboarding process as well as Customer Orientation Process.

Our company is looking for an Onboard Training Specialist with a passion for transport, people and procedures at our premises in Durbanville / Paarl. (The position is office-based and is not an on-route Driver Trainer position. Driver training and orientation will only happen in and around the depot).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment of Drivers:

  • Review CV’s,
  • Interviews,
  • Phone references,
  • Arrange all pre-employment checks (medical- and criminal checks),
  • Conduct pre-employment tests (practical and theoretical),
  • Ensure all new employees sign contracts and additional HR documentation.

Training of New and Existing drivers:

  • Training of new and existing Drivers
  • Develop group training programs that address specific business needs,
  • Keep record of all training,
  • Drive Reinke brand values through all training and development activities,
  • Train drivers and conduct assessments (practical and theoretical tests on students) in line with requirements,
  • Create training content for specific clients (traveling to clients will be a requirement from time-to-time),
  • Manage the training facility.

Onboarding Process:

  • Prepare colleagues for new drivers,
  • Have a truck available for new drivers,
  • Give a welcome pack to new drivers,
  • Introduce the new employee to all his colleagues,
  • Assist new drivers with any queries and escalate to HR Consultant.

EDUCATION AND JOB EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12,
  • Valid EC License and PDP,
  • Registered Assessor (advantageous).
  • Certificate in ETD or related field (outcomes-based education; training facilitation skills, assessment) (an advantage),
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Training environment.

SKILLS, JOB KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional people skills,
  • Ability to drive the Reinke brand values,
  • Professional and exceptional communication skills (English and Afrikaans. Ability to speak an African language is an advantage),
  • Presentation skills,
  • Excellent driving skills on heavy vehicles, (advantageous).
  • Computer literacy (MS Office: MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint – Intermediate),
  • Professional.
