PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe incumbent in this position will carry out various administration, customer services and order-management related functions that assist with ensuring the smooth operation of the business and accuracy of various information streams. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General site administration, including, but not limited to, HR admin (time and attendance data), order flow processing, data capturing, stock reporting and general filing.
  • Liaise with customers telephonically regarding stock available on the floor and orders to be made.
  • Maintain stock levels for customers (ensure that stock is replenished as necessary after call-offs from the warehouse floor.
  • Ensure that production orders are planned and placed with the factory and recorded accordingly to ensure warehouse stock replenishment or meet current customer needs.
  • Carry out inventory checks and counts as necessary to control stock levels in the warehouse.
  • Ensure that stock is accurately receipted into the warehouse against the production order placed and reflects accurately on the systems.
  • Ensure that stock being sent to customers is accurately captured on the systems for invoicing and stock purposes.
  • Issue parts and equipment as necessary and ensure accurate capturing of information on the system.
  • Ensuring accurate capturing of waste information and ensure escalation where necessary.
  • Capture consumables onto the system, assist with issuing and ensure system is kept up-to-date.
  • Manage the planning of stock and make-to-order items.
  • Be the customer liaison and service point for the business.
  • Control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) ordering and issuing.
  • Facilitate travel arrangements for staff as necessary and co-ordinate payment processes.

  • Computer literate, particularly using MS Excel.

 REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Matric / grade 12 essential
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in administration in a warehousing or factory environment, with exposure to stock management practices.
