QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Product Management or Marketing degree
  • 2-3 years product management experience in the ICT/Telecommunications field.
  • IT or communication market/segment knowledge.
  • IT or communication Product knowledge

POSITION OUTPUTS
Product performance:

  • Costs review of each product line:
  • Include evaluation of third-party costs
  • Other costs associated with the product
  • Keeping it up to date
  • Actual vs projected sales and profit
  • Budget vs actual sales and profit
  • Short term and long-term sales forecasts
  • Monthly reports on new sales, profit of the products
  • Growth of product sales

Manage Vendor relationships:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of Vendor processes and strategy in order to inform product management decisions and planning
  • Deal with product issues, product decisions that serve the companies best interests whilst maintaining a positive relationship with the vendor, referring major problems to the Executive head for resolution.

Product:

  • Identify new products and propose to management
  • Implement product strategy and roadmap
  • Generate Ideas to enhance existing products (EG unlimited calls)
  • Product plan – launch of new products
  • Review and prioritize incoming feature requests
  • Deliver business requirement documents

Market Research (compile monthly):

  • Competitor analysis:
  • Market product

  • Comparison and benefits vs market
  • Competitor promotions
  • New products launched by competitors
  • SWOT Analysis of the product lines
  • Work with Heads of sales to get first-hand industry and competitor information
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition

Manage pricing:

  • Price lists maintenance.
  • Create pricing models with consideration to competitor activity and other factors

Product knowledge training/sharing:

  • Channel training
  • Create channel support tools for the channel.
  • Internally and externally training of the product
  • Conduct Sales training workshops with the sales team, conveying an understanding of the positioning of the product and potential markets

Marketing strategies:

  • Prepare and edit various marketing material
  • Generate ideas to sell and promote the various products
  • Create marketing events to achieve effective promotion of the products
  • Create promotion flyers and other branding initiatives in conjunction with the marketing department
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Support sales:

  • Join sales calls and handle questions on functionality
  • Promote allocated products within the sales team:
  • Provide supporting documentation and tools relating to the product
  • Provide specialist product to client’s knowledge
  • Author and maintain product release notes, documentation and help systems.
  • Manage team and suppliers to ensure instillation times are met
  • Manage the Nashua Head Office relationship with their product team on company products
