What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
Your main focus is to identify potential business opportunities through regularly engaging with customers for the sale of projects. You have a strong network in the industry and love dealing with people from all walks of life.

You thrive to grow the business by selling renewable energy projects and other services in the market, this would be private tenders and corporate PPA’s etc., in the Commercial and Industrial space.

You manage your relationships well with existing clients and love using your network to build new relationships with new potential clients. You keep up with industry trends and map out business opportunities and viable income streams through extensive research.

You draft and negotiate contracts and you support teams in both bidding processes and project development activities. You work well independently and in diverse teams making you a good team player.

Where you’ll be doing it
You will be joining an international organisation in the renewable energy space that focuses on both utility scale as well as commercial and industrial projects, with more than 600 passionate employees world-wide.

They may sound like a large company, however a flat hierarchy and quick decision making abilities make them dynamic and a lot more fluid than their competitors in the renewable energy sector, giving them a competitive advantage.

What you’ll need
You are ideally an engineer with a business degree, possibly an MBA. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a good understanding of financial modelling, land negotiations and acquisitions, project planning, engineering, construction and operations and maintenance.

You have years of experience in business development, key account management and product and solution sales. You will need your skilful negotiating abilities, negotiating financing and sales contracts here in South Africa and you need to be available to occasionally travel when need be.
