PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To manage the Head Office finance department in line with IRFS and sound financial governance principles
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- B COM Accounting Degree
- MINIMUM 8 Years’ experience in Finance
- 5 Years’ experience in Accounts Payable
- Completed Articles
COMPETENCIES:
- Sound knowledge of SAP ERP (FI)
- fully computer literate
KNOWLEDGE:
- In depth knowledge of all company and TNPA policies and procedures including procurement policies and procedures
- Practical knowledge of IFRS, Vat Act and PFMA
- Knowledge of contract management processes
- Understanding of reconciliation processes; principles of corporate governance including risk assessment and control frameworks

- Guide improvement and maintenance of all policy, processes, procedures and internal controls for head office with a NATIONAL focus on:
- Accounts payable

Intercompany balancing process
- Banking and Treasury
- Payment reconciliations and third party payments
- Review all reconciliations prepared for the head office balance sheet and payroll
- Control assessments
- Monitor and review completion of Control Self assessments for Head office finance functions
- Review and assess head office inputs into overall TNPA exception report dashboards
- Review and monitor PFMA reporting for head office
- Co-ordinate all company Internal Audit Reviews for head office and monitor findings and ensure resolutions thereof
- Co-Ordinate all External Audit Reviews for head office on a quarterly basis and ensure timely response to queries. Monitor findings and ensure resolution thereof.
- Monitor and approve all SAP access requests for head office and ensure no high risk conflicts exist

- Participate in / lead relevant finance related projects, including Group initiated projects and liaising with SAP support office for enhancements / fixes to the SAP FI module
