Our client in the FMCG industry has an opportunity available for a Payroll Supervisor. This position will be based in Umhlanga Rocks, KZN.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary diploma or degree
  • 5 years’ payroll supervisory experience
  • In depth knowledge of payroll systems
  • Knowledge of SARS employee tax related legislation and regulation
  • Knowledge of company benefit schemes such as pension funds, medical aid schemes, car schemes and share option schemes and how these relate to the payroll function.
  • Detail-orientated with the technical aptitude and ability to perform tasks accurately and comprehensively
  • Ability to work in pressured and deadline-driven operating environment

KPAs:

  • Track and monitor payroll related expenditures; identify payroll variances and implement corrective actions. Update records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions for instance, insurance changes, deductions, short-time, status, and pay; calculating leave earned
  • Manage the day-to-day payroll activities centrally for the relevant sites/operations/functions
  • Create EFTS and PAYE payments for respective payrolls and ensure accurate and timeous payment to avoid penalties
  • Perform audits/reviews of payroll transactions, end-to-end payroll processing and existing documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance to Group policies and statutory requirements
  • Prepare required payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, non-taxable wages and staff debtors as required.
  • Compile/submit annual and bi-annual submissions to SARS
  • Administer the expatriate payroll
