Responsibilities will include:

Financial Accounting

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis at both the project and company level
  • Assist independent auditors during annual audit.
  • Preparation and payment of all statutory SARS accounts
  • Maintenance of Xero accounting system
  • Ensure that all employees adhere to organisation’s procurement policies
  • Maintenance of preferred supplier database
  • Inter-company loans management
  • Weekly payments and cash book processing

Operations Management

  • Review the daily administrative functions of the business
  • Manage office overhead budget to align with goals of business
  • Review and respond to questions and issues arising from day to day business concerning office operations and administration
  • Line management of Operations Officer

This is a full-time contract position (initially 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022), subject to GreenCape’s standard contracting conditions. Contract renewal will depend on performance and the HR requirements of the organisation at the time. There will be a three-month probation period for this position.

Remuneration will be market-related, with the recognition that GreenCape is a not-for-profit organisation. Medical aid is offered as an employee benefit (subject to some conditions).
