- Relevant Tertiary IT / Management Qualification and experience
- 7 years + experience in a Senior IT Management Level in large corporates
- 4 years plus experience in a CIO role
- 4 years plus experience in an Employee Benefit environment
- Substantial Employee Benefits experience in a Financial Services / Banking environment is a “Must Have”.
3Year Initial Contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Group CIO and Managing Director at Exco Level
- Construct, maintain, and upgrade the large-scale corporate’s IT framework.
- Manage and control large amounts of costs.
- Compile and implement best practice IT strategies.
- Make all the big decisions regarding the organization’s information framework.
- Make the final decisions regarding the selection and purchasing of IT equipment / software.
- Decide how to install the equipment, when to upgrade and improve the system, and how to integrate all of this into the rest of the company’s operations.
- Beyond the merely technical, the CIO also needs to possess the acumen necessary to make smart and responsible purchasing decisions.
- Combines both management and IT talents.
Personal Characteristics:
- Ability to lead, report, optimise and function effectively / efficiently in a large corporate IT company.
- Management skills are also needed to ensure that IT teams work in tandem to maintain the entire system.
- Technologically adept individual who has a thorough and continually evolving understanding of information and communications systems.
- Ability to see and implement goals to support the bigger corporate strategy picture.
- Good leader in a large-scale IT environment
- Ability to manage complex information systems operations.
