Purpose of the role:
Provide ongoing support by leading the Production team to maintain a safe working environment that produces high quality products in a productive manner, delivered to the customer on time.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Diploma or Degree in Production Management or similar
- 5 Years Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to the automotive industry would be an added advantage.
- Risk Management
- Knowledge and experience of problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge and experience working with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- IATF knowledge would be advantageous.
- Responsibilities:
- Promote safe working environment.
- Ensure all safety requirements are adhered.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the daily operations and functions of the Production teams to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure each team meet stable production and achieve availability and productivity targets.
- Ensure each team meet customer delivery on time, correct product and quantity.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory items meets requirements.
- Manage accuracy of stock received, stored and delivered to customers.
- Lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to ensure company targets are achieved.
- Develop and Manage Standard Operating Procedures
- Implementing cross training and multiskilling
- Monitoring daily work performance
- Reporting
- Work closely with cross functional departments to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Manage work place issues, disciplinary, counselling and grievances
