SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE DURBAN
CORE PURPOSE:To facilitate the delivery of high quality research-based, full thesis doctoral programmes and research publications
CORE DUTIES: Participate in the design, planning and delivery of doctoral programmes. To teach on and facilitate research workshops for doctoral programmes, as per programme structure. Advise on the recruitment, selection and allocation of supervisors to doctoral students. Participate in the review and assessment processes of doctoral programmes. Participate in committee structures, as deemed necessary, by the Director of doctoral programmes. Support the induction and training of doctoral programme supervisors. Contribute to and participate in selected activities of the Research Directorate. Regularly communicate with the Doctoral Research Office on matters related to doctoral programmes. Advice the APU team Review manuscript submitted to JMA for publication Mentoring junior academic for academic publication Research publication (own)
QUALIFICATION: Doctorate degree Preferable: Specialisation in business, administration, management, commerce, education, or in cognate fields
EXPERIENCE: Doctoral student supervision Record of research output Participation in doctoral programme delivery
