Our client is a leading technology solutions provider and to support their continuous growth they are looking to recruit 2 x DevOps Support Engineers to join their team in Somerset West, Cape Town:
- 1 x DevOps Support Engineer specialising in either IBM WAS or Application Security; and,
- 1 x DevOps Support Engineer specialising in DB2 database administration.
You will be responsible for automating, maintaining and supporting tools and processes relating to continuous delivery/integration/deployment, test-driven development, and agile best practices.
To apply, you need to have a relevant IT tertiary qualification coupled with 3+ years’ experience working in an enterprise IT development environment and 2+ years’ experience in DevOps – Automation, scripting and building CI/CD pipelines.
You need to have at least one of the following:
- 3+ years’ experience using IBM WebSphere and WSADMIN scripting;
- OR,
- 3+ years’ experience in a DB2 DBA role;
OR, - 1+ years’ experience in a DevSecOps role, with experience in cybercrime countermeasures and cyber security assessments, firewalling/security, code scanning for security vulnerabilities, and software security tools like Sonar, Fisheye and Nexus Lifecycle.
Additional skills and experience include:
- 2+ years’ experience working with artefact repositories like Nexus or Artifactory;
- 2+ years’ experience in Linux based operating systems;
- 2+ years’ experience in Bash scripting;
- 1+ years’ experience with provisioning tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef; and,
- Solid understanding of networking.
