Position: Fitter and Turner (Shift) Site: Nelspruit – Mpumalanga Department: Maintenance A vacancy exists at Nelspruit Corrugated plant, Maintenance Department for a Fitter and Turner who meets the following requirements.The candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Grade 12 with N3 mechanical trade theory
- Qualified Artisan (Fitter and Turner) with recognised Trade Certificate
- Must be qualified to do work on Lathe and Milling Machine
- Basic Rigging experience with proof off training beneficial
Job requirements:
- Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience in manufacturing industry
- Boiler House Knowledge
- Arc and Gas welding experience essential
- Good communication skills
- Computer Literacy
- Own Transport
- Willing to do standby
- Willing to do shift work and work overtime on weekend based on production requirements
- Be able to work without supervision during night shift and weekend duties
- Must be able to work on high and confined spaces
Your key responsibilities:
- Comply with SHE rules and regulations
- Conduct planned maintenance and routine inspections
- Repair of Plant equipment
- Project work and new installations
- Take responsibility of all shift related breakdowns and maintenance
- Ad hoc tasks where required by line manager
